Rockpool offers easy access to investment in UK private companies. We help investors to build investment portfolios in high quality businesses, but with no obligation to commit to any form of rigid fund format.

Rockpool has wide experience and powerful connections. Our founding partners have played key roles in the investment of more than £500m in more than 150 UK private companies – with 3i plc, Bridgepoint and two prominent businesses in the private investor sector. Our chairman, Nicola Horlick, has managed several successful fund management businesses.

Our offering can appeal to the comfortably well-off investor right through to the very high net worth individual. Everyone gets access to the same high quality companies and invests on the same terms.

Tax-efficient Private Equity

Our investment opportunities often feature attractive tax breaks – most particularly through the Enterprise Investment Scheme ('EIS'). The EIS allows investors to make significant income tax savings and to realise profits free of capital gains tax.

We also offer investments which help individuals with estate planning and to make inheritance tax savings.

An experienced investor can join as a Member of the Rockpool Network and build a bespoke investment portfolio; whilst our Portfolio Services allow a wide range of investors to build a portfolio of tax-efficient investments in quality companies.

We focus on investments in UK private companies. We provide growth capital, support management buy-outs and release equity value for business owners – typically, an offer is for £2-10m of equity.
