Rockpool makes it easy for investors to access high-quality UK private companies. Opportunities range from growth equities to asset-backed lending, and there is no need to commit to a fund.
The Rockpool Network is a members club, where investors can engage with their peers and get closer to investee companies. We hold frequent events to encourage networking and sharing of ideas. As a Member of the Rockpool Network, you can build a bespoke portfolio with as much or as little engagement as you want.
Investors with less time to get involved can still create a bespoke portfolio using our Self-select service option. Our Managed service option offers an alternative for investors who prefer us to select companies for their portfolio, working within an agreed investment strategy.
We invest across a wide range of situations and we work closely with each investee company throughout the life of the investment. We provide senior or mezzanine loans and preference and ordinary share capital, focusing on situations such as:
Development Capital: we support rapid organic growth or strategic acquisitions.
Equity Release: we help business owners to realise part of their capital whilst continuing to drive the business forward.
Management Buy-outs: we support the outright purchase of a business by its management team.
Projects: we provide structured finance for infrastructure and construction projects.
Rockpool has wide experience and powerful connections. Our senior team members have been investing in private companies for more than 20 years and also have hands-on experience of managing successful businesses.
Among Rockpool Network Members, there are many successful entrepreneurs, whose experience and contact networks add another dimension to our business. They help us find hidden investment opportunities, recognise risks and grasp opportunities.

I’ve been impressed by the quality of Rockpool’s assessments. Information is clearly presented and underpinned by thorough due diligence. That gives me the confidence to introduce friends to Rockpool, and indeed two have already joined the Rockpool Network.
David Franks – founder of Blevins Franks, a leading tax planning and wealth management group focused on UK expatriates and based in six countries.
Rockpool is an innovator, helping to change the whole approach to investment in UK private companies by private investors. At EMW, we contribute to this dynamic by devising innovative procedures and processes which allow for efficient syndication of dozens of private investors into single transactions. I know that Rockpool plans more innovation, and I am sure this will be good for private investors. EMW is looking forward to helping Rockpool with its exciting plans.

When choosing an EIS provider, having a complete understanding of the underlying investments is essential. Rockpool is simply the most transparent company I’ve dealt with and clients can invest with full knowledge of where they are investing, which cannot be said about everyone. Also, Rockpool’s costs are unusually competitive which helps to improve the client total return.
The Rockpool team are professional, open and knowledgeable. The EIS and Inheritance Portfolio Services offer a number of innovations which set Rockpool apart from the crowd and their commitment to sharing information with clients goes way beyond the regulatory minimums. I’ve found Rockpool to be a pleasure to deal with and a real breath of fresh air in the market place.
